Musical Makers is an association that includes composers, lyricists, bookwriters, directors, musical directors, producers, marketers/promoters, educators, performers, critics, and others who have interest in contributing to the development of new musical theatre works.

Goals:
• Help establish and strengthen ASCAP, BMI, and Dramatists Guild presence in more cities.
• Organize and encourage university and conservatory participation in the new works process.
• Find more grants and other sources of funding for demos and other creator expenses.
• Create more environments where creative risk is acceptable.
• Work on better ways of matching up new works with producers, directors, theaters, and other likely organizations.
• Improve the critique/feedback process.
• Develop a mentor program.
• Sponsor conventions, seminars, mini-festivals, local chapters, and other gatherings for panels, discussion, and information exchanges.
• Produce promotional CDs and live concerts dedicated to showcasing new works.

committed people can change the world. Indeed,
it is the only thing that ever can.”—Margaret Mead
